Harrison Point Townhomes
Harrison Point is a nine unit high-end
residential gated community located in the
historic district of Dorchester, Massachusetts.
With less than 13,000sf of landscape, EJB
Designs collaborated with various consultants
to help create a distinct place within a dense urban
setting.
As requested by the owner, the community was to have
a cottage oasis appeal, which would embrace safety,
relaxation, convenience and a distinct sense of place.
Prominent constraints such as limited parking and landscape
areas, severe topographical grade changes and drainage issues
were formulated into valued amenities including:

Prominent constraints such as limited parking and landscape
areas, severe topographical grade changes and drainage issues
were formulated into valued amenities including:
- An automated gate system with masonry stone piers, low voltage lighting and decorative fences for creating a safer environment.
- Decorative brick pavers and retaining walls help to alleviate steep grades while defining the various spaces and paths that link them together.
- Transformation of an existing dilapidated pool into a featured amenity and useable space.
- Confined spaces were complimented with structures such as pergolas, stone piers, lattice panels and ornamental native plants.
- Densely vegetated buffer plantings with evergreens, flowering tress, and shrubs provide screening from surrounding neighbors, year round interest and erosion control.
