Site Planning & Landscape Architecture

Thomas College has take great strides to become a prominent college in Maine and the Northeast. The Harald Aflond Academic Center was designed and constructed to enhance that designation and provide a center focus to the campus. Drainage posed a unique challenge to the design process with the main building structure located at a low point on the campus. Various  sketch concepts responding to the drainage challenges were formulated and presented to the College for making sound decisions that would meet the greater goals of the college.

Erik assisted with site planning and landscape architecture design for this project that included: Sustainable drainage strategies, decorative bio-swale and infiltration techniques, pedestrian plazas and entrances along with  a native planting design.
