Progress of construction from left to right including removal of the existing house to exposing ledge and the new foundation layout. Over 2,000 yards of crushed stone has resulted from ledge removal of which a large portion will be reused on site.

The design of the house, garage and barn, by DNA Architecture, was site planned in harmony with the topography, views, sun angles and grading & drainage.
EJB was hired to create a special property that would inspire the Client and respond effectively to the environmental and climatic conditions. Understanding site constraints, climate, sun/shade, soils, drainage, ledge and use patterns were all highly important, but having constant collaboration between all team members became crucial. Respect for each team members role and responsibility was essential for understanding all of the factors impacting the design.
