Framingham Downtown                                        Streetscape Improvements

Framingham, Massachusetts

Framingham recently completed major improvements to their downtown streetscape. EJB collaborated with the engineers and Town officials to develop an appealing urban design as the lead landscape architect. Detailed streetscape drawings included unique urban benches, seat walls, raised planters, efficient lighting, street trees, kiosks. Brick paving fields were created to establish an inviting and new brand for this heavily traveled corridor.

The decorative raised planters of precast concrete and granite were designed to introduce more green vegetation into the downtown while providing seating and an attractive barrier between pedestrians and vehicles.
